Today was pretty low key. We had a leisurely morning and then walked into town to have lunch and pick up our rental car. After getting the car we headed towards the grocery store, got lost along the way and ended up way above town in an older residential area. There was one narrow road up and we eventually found a spot to turn around and head down. We laughed quite a bit at our ability to navigate around town in our unfamiliar surroundings. After getting back to Vila Barca we walked along the ocean-front park that’s across the street from us. It includes a couple of natural swimming pools, which are harder to see at high tide.
Tip of the Day:
If you’re driving in Madalena, beware of the street that starts as a one way, and then, without warning, turns into a two way!
