Beach Combing, Swimming and Dinner Out

We stayed close to ‘home’ yesterday. We strolled along the waterfront across from us, looking for more treasures. Of course, the photos don’t show how cool the low tide landscape is here. It was a spectacular day with full sun and 20* C. Steve got into the ocean for a swim in one of the local natural swimming pools in the afternoon.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner out with Carlos and Laura, and their friends Manny and Jillian. Manny and Jillian are from Ontario too. They became friends with Carlos and Laura after recognizing Carlos in the airport en route to Pico last year. There are many Canadians here on Pico. Unfortunately we didn’t think to get a group photo during dinner.

Tip of the Day: When exploring the island of Pico, you don’t need to worry about bugs, snakes or dangerous mammals. The only animals we’ve seen are livestock and pets. It’s great to be deep in the wilderness and not feel the need to be aware of the usual threats we have in Canada.

So glad to see you braved the water and used one on the pools!
